The headline is that no alcohol is allowed at Norway Cup, including in the school. However, we have a good relationship with the Referee Department who understand that we’re on holiday. As long as we are sensible and don’t cause the Referee Department any problems, we can unwind with a drink in the evenings.
Under no circumstances should alcohol be consumed in the presence of under 18s. For various reasons, we deliberately do not have any under 18s in our group. There will be under 18 referees from elsewhere in the world. Under 18s should never be invited into our rooms.
Part of the expectation is that we all do our stuff on the pitch. If you have to cry off your games because you’ve gone too hard the night before, there won’t be any sympathy from the group and you can expect that you will not be troubling the appointments at the business end of the week.
How do we help the Referee Department avoid problems?
Keep your alcohol tidied up.
